Various traditional events are celebrated at the school. There is a “Made in Japan” week.

The language ratio changes throughout the curriculum. The following percentages of classes are taught in Japanese rather than in English.

• Kindergarten: 10%
• Grades 1-2: 30%
• Grades 3-4: 40%
• Grade 5 / Middle: 50%”

In grade school (elementary), students engage in inquiry-based learning. Rather than learning from textbooks, students are encouraged to look for answers through information gathering and analysis. Teachers construct the curriculum through communication with students.

In middle school, students engage in social and emotional learning. Inquiry-based classes encourage active learning and critical thinking.

In both grade and middle schools, students study abroad in countries such as Italy, Canada, and Singapore.

The school offers Environmental Studies classes as a certified Eco-School. In August, students experience an ocean camp.

In middle school, students first learn scientific processes before continuing their explorations into life science, biology, physics, geology, and chemistry.

A Passion Project allows students to investigate a topic of their interest and present their findings.
