Students experience traditional Japanese cultural events such as Setsubun and Tanabata, play traditional children’s games, and make crafts related to the seasons.

The school is committed to bilingual education and focuses on the acquisition of Japanese language skills as well. While adopting the guidelines of the Japanese Courses of Study, basic skills in kanji, grammar, reading, and writing are integrated with units of inquiry learning.

Math and Social Studies are taught in both English and Japanese, and Science is taught in English.
