＜Japan Center＞
Launched in August 2015 with the mission to serve as a bridge between the school and the local, broader Japanese community. Through innovative and creative workshops, lectures, curriculum enhancement, student programs, and community outreach programs, it aims to provide authentic Japanese cultural experiences for the ASIJ community

＜Elementary＞
There are daily Japanese language classes for heritage speakers and as a foreign language

＜Middle and above＞
Selective among Japanese, Chinese, and Spanish

Founded in 1902, ASIJ offers an American-style college preparatory education for the children of international families, including those on temporary assignment, as well as families who make Tokyo their permanent home. The school offers a standards-based curriculum culminating in an American high school diploma. ASIJ’s program develops the necessary skills for a student to be successful in their future academic endeavors, including in Advanced Placement courses and other advanced topic courses

STEM activities include:

• Organizing a Space Conference with speakers from NASA and JAXA
• Competing in a VEX Robotics tournament
• Getting started with cardboard engineering

TEDxYouth@ASIJ is organized

The school offers a career education program called The Contribution Program, a special corporate scholarship program available for organizations responsible for covering expatriate employees’ educational expenses
