The annual Experience Japan Trip takes to a different location every year, allowing students to gain a deeper understanding of the culture, language, history and people of the host country

Japanese as a Native Language (JNL) program is aligned with the Kokugo curriculum.

Japanese as an Additional Language (JAL) classes focus on language acquisition using activities and textbook work on hiragana/katakana, kanji, and vocabulary. The JAL program is divided into JAL1 (beginners) and JAL2 (intermediates) for grades five and above.

The school employs project-based education. Art, debate, critical opinion writing, poetry, music, and presentation are some of the ways in which students are encouraged to express themselves. The school designates a Project Week to foster independent learning and presentation.
